Karnali

The Karnali (meaning Turquoise River) is the largest river in Nepal and originates on the Tibetan Plateau, near Mount Kailash. Cutting through the Himalayas and flowing south it journeys through one of the most remote and least explored areas of Nepal. Very few tourists are to be found here.

Reaching the river is a small adventure in itself and then the excitement really begins. This trip is a favourite among many river guides, taking you into the depths of Nepal’s stunning landscape and far way from civilisation. With challenging rapids, spectacular gorges, beautiful white sandy beaches and quiet stretches of river to relax on, there is no question that this journey will be a unique and absolutely unforgettable experience.
